Mount Rentals
Rebrand

Mount had a compelling vision to partner with local guides and businesses to offer travelers unique, authentic experiences. However, they needed new branding that matched their company’s heart and passion for building a new way of travel.

As both a Creative Director and designer on the project (in partnership with Mundaen Collective), I led the client through a three-step branding process of discovery, strategic planning, and design. Out of the process, we delivered a new logo, website, and digital and print assets, offering their users a unified experience.

As we began this process we were open to fully starting over. However, if we could, we wanted to preserve the remnants of the original mark.

One of the goals we had was to give more meaning to the icon. Mount, being in the hospitality, and travel industry, we wanted to icon to be leveraged to tell their story and the services they’d offer. The new icon is adaptable in many ways as it can be interpreted as a mountain, the tips of a flame, or even the crest of a wave.

The typography as well, we wanted to carry more weight and boldness, creating this custom typographic mark.
